The Window People, located conveniently off of I-95 in Stamford, CT has been selling and installing high-quality home improvement products to businesses and homeowners in Fairfield and Westchester Counties since 1932. In 1983 the current owner Ted Davey, who has been “working on homes” since age 12 with his uncle, expanded the business to include siding, skylights, and retractable awnings. Since then, the Window People has been installing and servicing unique wood, aluminum, fiberglass and vinyl windows as well as wood, fiberglass and steel entry and patio doors, along with the original product line. Most recently, because of our extensive experience in carpentry, an outstanding line of American made kitchen and bath cabinets have been added along with architectural shutters.

The Window People have a continuous A+ Accredited Rating with the Better Business Bureau since 1985 and our customer testimonials are extensive. Having a showroom, branded vehicles, office phones, company eMail addresses, a staff of employees expertly trained in all phases of the business and fully insured and licensed in two states, a homeowner can have complete confidence that a project will be completed on time and on budget. Ted is a lifelong resident of Fairfield County and is married with four adult children. A devoted family man he enjoys live music concerts, boating and repairing and restoring “old things”. Ted is a Certified Installation Masters Trainer (American Architectural Manufacturers Association) and an EPA Lead-Safe Contractor, along with being a founding member of the Stamford Chamber of Commerce. The Window People actively supports such charitable organizations such as the American Red Cross, the Boy Scouts, Habitat for Humanity, the Alzheimer’s Association and local community theaters among others.
